Letters From CFBL: June Intentions
June is a month of June intentions at Center for Balanced Living.
This month, we celebrate Pride Month. We are expanding our team. We are launching CFBL Institute and CFBL Musa. We bring new connection opportunities to our community.
We're also accepting interest forms for Amanda's Art Therapy Group and our virtual and in-person Pet Loss Support Groups.
As we grow, our commitment remains. We provide compassionate, evidence-based care. We create spaces where people feel seen, supported, and understood.
We invite you to read our June newsletter and stay connected with what's happening at CFBL.

Welcome to June at Center for Balanced Living. This month is about intention for us. It's a time to celebrate and grow. We recommit to our people and community. This June, we honor Pride. We welcome new colleagues to our team. We proudly open two new chapters. Our promise stays the same through it all. We offer community and quality care, first and always. Thank you for being part of the CFBL community. Here is a look at our progress. This shows where we are headed.
We Celebrate Pride
This June, we honor Pride Month. Center for Balanced Living is an affirming space. This includes LGBTQ+ clients, families, and community members. We believe in healing within identity. Relationships and lived experience are also key. Every person deserves to feel seen and respected. Our trauma-informed practice is committed to care. We provide inclusive, compassionate care. It honors each person's story. Pride celebrates authenticity and belonging. These values guide us all year. Not just in June.
Exciting News: CFBL Institute
We proudly announce CFBL Institute's launch. It is our new training arm. CFBL Institute provides trauma-informed education. It offers rigorous continuing education. This is for mental health professionals. They seek deeper training. This includes assessment, trauma, and nervous system care. Our goal is to support clinician growth. We aim to raise the standard of care. This expands our impact beyond therapy. We stay grounded in our clinical values. More details are coming soon.
Exciting News: MUSA
We are excited to introduce MUSA. It is the literary home for Dr. Niki Serravalle's writing. MUSA collects essays, books, and reflections. These cover psychology, memory, identity, trauma. They also explore the human experience. It is a space for ideas. It offers storytelling and learning. MUSA complements our daily clinical care. With CFBL Institute, MUSA allows us to share. We connect with our community in new ways. We invite you to follow this new chapter.
Notes from Boston: The Trauma Research Foundation Conference
This month, Dr. Serravalle attended a conference. It was the Trauma Research Foundation Conference. It took place in Boston. Clinicians, researchers, and educators attended. They explored trauma treatment and neuroscience. The conference highlighted evolving research. This included attachment and nervous system regulation. Trauma recovery was also a key focus. It emphasized integrating approaches. This meets each client's unique needs. Dr. Serravalle returned inspired. She brought these insights back to CFBL. They validate our current work. They also strengthen our client care. This includes their families.
Creative Expression and Support Groups
We announce new opportunities for connection. They foster creativity and healing. Amanda's Art Therapy Group is accepting forms. This group explores emotions. Participants build insight and self-expression. They use the creative process. It is a safe, supportive therapeutic environment. We are forming a Pet Loss Support Group. It is available virtually and in-person. Losing an animal can be deep grief. It is often misunderstood. This group offers a compassionate space. Share and be supported there. Connect with others who understand. Interest forms are open for both groups.
June Intentions: We're Hiring: Join Our Team
Center for Balanced Living is growing. We seek compassionate professionals to join us. We need licensed therapists now. They must commit to quality care. Clinical growth and meaningful therapy work are key. We offer a supportive team environment. We also welcome a post-doctoral fellow. This person will specialize in psychological evaluation. They will also specialize in trauma therapy. If this sounds like you, or someone you know. We would love to hear from you. Make your work count. Every single session.
Days grow longer, sun shines brighter. June brings a fresh sense of renewal. Possibility is in the air. Many reflect on the year's first half. We acknowledge progress made. We set intentions for future months. This June, CFBL focuses on themes. These are connection, personal growth, community. We invite you to embrace these intentions. Participate in upcoming workshops. Engage with our latest blog series. Take a moment for self-reflection. Our primary intention for June is deeper connections. That means within our community. Strong, supportive relationships are well-being's cornerstone. Throughout the month, we'll highlight opportunities. Connect with fellow community members. Share experiences and build bonds. Watch social media and our newsletter. Details on virtual meet-ups will be there. Collaborative projects and learning experiences too. Encouraging personal growth is another intention. Growth takes many forms. Learn a new skill. Challenge old beliefs. Cultivate a mindful daily approach. We will share resources and insights. They inspire self-discovery and development. Our goal is to empower you. Take steps toward your best self. Whatever that means for you.
